Henry Mancini medley

from The 1960s by Sarahtonin

/

about

Before there were Beatles in my life, there was Henry Mancini. I heard his music on the radio of course, but also, my mother had several of his albums. I couldn't decide which Henry Mancini song to cover for this '60s collection, so I did a 7 minute 50 second medley of five songs that inspired me to make music when I was a child. I tried a different vocal approach on these -- was trying to sing softly, which is unusual for me after a lifetime of singing kind of loud for more rock-type songs. I think I did alright for an "old dog" learning new tricks.
